ContourGlobal, a KKR Company, is an established Independent Power Producer (IPP) developing, acquiring and operating electricity generation assets worldwide since 2005. The company currently manages more than 5.6 GW of installed capacity in 18 countries across Europe, Africa, Asia, North and South America. With a current share of renewables capacity below 30%, the company has committed to speed up the decarbonization of its portfolio with a sustainable transition of its thermal fleet, the repowering of existing renewable assets and the organic development of new renewable projects.
In Austria, ContourGlobal is a major actor in the Country’s transition to renewable energy production. As a domestic energy production company with an international structure, we deliver global expertise directly to your doorstep. Together we are able to shape Austria’s future renewable energy market.
ContourGlobal owns and operates renewable energy production sites in several countries around the globe. In Europe we operate wind parks and solar energy plants in Austria, Slovakia, Italy, Romania, and Spain.

ContourGlobal has been active in Austria for 11 years and currently operates seven wind parks with an accumulated installed capacity of 162 MW. With its current portfolio ContourGlobal ranks among the top 10 domestic wind production companies. In addition to that, - together with a subsidiary – ContourGlobal operates 30 solar power plants in Slovakia with an overall capacity of 35 MW.
