In alignment with the goals of the Renewable Energy Expansion Act (EAG), we aim to increase our wind power capacity in Austria from the current 162 MW to 1 GW by 2030. The updates to the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and the urgency regulation from the European Commission help us move forward more quickly. Austria plays an essential role in ContourGlobal's expansion strategy. In recent years, we have driven the modernization of our seven wind parks in Lower Austria. These initiatives have resulted in a significant increase in performance and efficiency.
ContourGlobal aims to significantly contribute to Austria's energy transformation. We have set an ambitious goal to expand the capacity of our wind parks to 1 GW, thereby increasing our output in Austria by more than fivefold. This expansion will enable us to supply over 500,000 Austrian households with clean, renewable energy.
